If you’ve been following this blog for a while, you know by now that I am a smoothie-lover at heart. So, you can imagine my excitement when Zola sent me a case of their different-flavored acai juices to try in some recipes and give a little review! Zola also makes coconut waters, if acai isn’t your kind of thing. Mocha Cherry Maca Protein Shake
I’ve been just a little obsessed with protein shakes lately. Ok, I’m pretty much always obsessed with them. If you haven’t gathered it already, I love coming up with creative smoothies recipes with flavor combos as unique as possible. However, I also like to use healthy ingredients I have on hand while putting a fun spin on the recipes. Tahini Espresso Protein Shake
As promised, here is the first of a few recipes I will be featuring using Mushroom Matrix’s Fit. This protein shake happens to include a few of my favorite brands and flavors all together in one delicious (and totally healthy) post-workout shake. Who would’ve thought that things like tahini, coffee, pears, bananas and mushroom powder would go together? I wouldn’t have at first but trust me, this was one extremely happy accident that I discovered. I even boosted it with some Growing Naturals Vanilla Blast rice protein, so this entire smoothie has almost 30g of plant-based protein. The added Mushroom Matrix makes it complete with an added boost of immunity, while helping fight fatigue and increase your fitness performance. You don’t even have to drink this shake after a workout, but I can promise that it’s a super satisfying treat to have after your morning gym session or run outside.
