From my Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest page and this blog, it’s pretty evident that I love smoothies and protein shakes. Why, you may ask? Because they are quick to make, flavorful and a great way to pack in more protein, fiber, hydration and different nutrients. Whether it is in the morning, afternoon or evening a blended drink always sounds appealing to me. Recently, Growing Naturals reached out to me to try and review their various plant-based proteins and rice drinks. Keep reading on to find out what I thought of their Rice Drinks and get 50% OFF your order so you can try them for yourself. Miyoko’s Kitchen
The world of vegan cheese has been changed forever. Or should I say, “cultured nut products”? Thanks to Miyoko’s Kitchen, a maker of incredible gourmet nut-based products in a wide variety of flavors, no one will ever miss out on cheese again. For me personally, I was never a big fan of cheese (I know…shocker!) but it’s nice to have vegan options like these that are produced in a similar fashion as dairy-based cheeses. Miyoko’s Kitchen is based out of Fairfax, California but don’t fret if you live somewhere else in the United States. They are able to ship nationwide! All you have to do is visit their Online Store, create your custom collection, and have them sent right to your doorstep with 2-day shipping. This was the January Jubilee collection that they were selling for a limited time, but now you can pick and choose which cheeses you want. You really won’t want to miss out on trying these for yourself, ex-cheese-lover or not! Continue reading
Vibrant Veggies
Even the healthiest of diets need an extra boost every now and then. Whether you’re making an effort to eat a little healthier this month as a resolution, or looking to ease any tummy issues, fermented foods are a great solution. I am so happy to have been given the chance to try out some products from Vibrant Veggies, which is a local company to Colorado that I first discovered at Neat Market (an all-vegan pop-up shop in Denver). They make sauerkraut in four different, fun flavors that happen to be super versatile. I read the other day that fermented foods like kraut are considered a superfood trend of 2015. Normally I don’t follow “diet” trends, but I can attest to the power of sauerkraut in terms of not just flavor, but overall digestive health and beyond. Continue reading
Go Raw Snacks
Remember when I talked about incorporating more raw foods into my diet? Since my favorite raw vegan restaurant closed its doors, I’ve been wanting to try new raw foods including smoothie recipes, desserts and even snacks. Luckily Go Raw sent me a few of their Flax Snax and Super Chips and they were so much fun to try out! There are 6 different flavors that I got to sample, and I never would’ve thought that raw, gluten-free, nut-free snacks made of seeds would taste so good! Continue reading

That’s one of the many reasons I’m so excited to bring to you my latest review of a company I recently discovered. Mushroom Matrix makes a line of powders and more that are super easy to add into any drink or smoothie to start reaping the benefits of different kinds of mushrooms. This company grows the certified organic mushrooms, processes and packages them into powders that you can buy online and try for yourself! Their products are all gluten-free, raw, vegan, kosher, and grown right in the state of California. Continue reading
NibMor Dark Chocolate
Happy New Year! Since the holidays have officially come to an end, I’m thinking of ways to ease into the New Year and incorporate my favorite treats in a less-indulgent way. Cookies, pies, candy, and cakes are fun, but they aren’t always the best way to kick off your New Year’s Resolutions. I personally love a good piece of high-quality dark chocolate as a guilt-free dessert, which is where this review comes in. Nibmor was so generous to send me a few of their best-selling chocolate bars. I was so excited to try them that I ended up purchasing a few of their other bars to make this a complete review! Upton’s Naturals Seitan Giveaway (Closed)
People ask me all the time, since I stopped eating meat over 5 years ago, if I ever miss it. My answer? Absolutely not! There are so many vegan meats that taste just like (and often better than) their non-vegan counterparts. One of my all-time favorites is seitan, a cruelty-free meat made of wheat protein that is super versatile and is sure to fool any omnivore with its taste and texture. Upton’s Naturals makes some of the best seitan in my opinion, and I have been in love with their products ever since my first bite. Continue reading
Bearded Brothers Energy Bars
I reached out to Bearded Brothers after hearing about their raw, vegan, gluten/soy free energy bars and I am so thankful that they were able to send some for me to try out! Go Raw Super Cookies
Raw vegan food is something I’ve dabbled in a few times before, beginning back to my visit to 42º RAW in Copenhagen, Denmark (which I’ve actually reviewed here if you’re interested). Something that specifically catches my eye about raw food is the ability to use simple ingredients and sometimes-unusual combinations of flavors. One of my favorite raw dishes is and has always been the desserts. I love dessert in general, but raw desserts have a wonderful, natural taste to them and they don’t give you a sugar high after enjoying them. Sometimes you want a flavorful, healthier dessert with a nice crunch/chewiness to it. That’s where Go Raw’s line of Super Cookies come in. They make these raw treats in 6 different flavors, using simple components such as sesame seeds, coconut, dates, and spices. I really enjoyed this company’s energy bars so I couldn’t wait to see how their other raw products compared. Go Raw sent me their raw cookies to try each flavor and here are my thoughts on them.
