Better Bean makes these great bean dips, sides, and other additions that you can enjoy in so many different ways! The beans are gluten and soy free, and made with nothing but fresh and healthy ingredients. They each vary in flavor and heat in terms of spiciness, which you can find out more about on the company website. The Uncanny Refried Black Beans have just a slight kick that pairs well with avocado and salsa. It’s so easy to heat these up and serve them on top of tacos, and it adds a whole new depth of flavor and heartiness. Personally I’m not that big on tacos or burritos, but when they have these refried beans in them, you can count me in!
The Wholly Chipotle sounded like it would be really spicy, but it definitely had more of a “medium” heat to it. I had this with some sprouted pumpkin tortilla chips, daiya cheese, salsa and freshly sliced avocado.
Nachos again with the Three Sisters Chili, which was perfectly fine on its own. It was more of a chili dish because of the corn and squash, but I wanted to try it as a topping for these nachos. Still completely delicious as odd as it sounds!
I used the Rethought Red Beans along with some spinach to make red beans and rice. This was a perfectly filling and hearty meal. I also made some bean and Daiya cheese quesadillas. Even with the red beans these flavors were just perfect. I even made the ultimate party/snack food with the rest of the red beans-nachos! Yes, nachos again.
Lastly, after months of searching, I finally discovered the Cuban Black Beans! I decided to go all out and make some chili-cheese fries with the black beans, Beyond Meat Fiesty beefless crumbles, chives, and Daiya Cheddar shreds on top of sweet potato waffle fries. Oh my word, was this fantastic! I used the remainder of the Cuban Black Beans in a recipe for a potluck so stay tuned for the recipe. In the meantime, sit back, relax, and grab yourself some Better Beans!
I read your review and purchased the chipotle lime bean spread variety. I made nachos with Beyond Meat chicken strips and Daiya Cheddar Cheese shreds. It was pretty good but I had to add a bit of garlic salt and paprika for the correct amount of kick. I think I would like the black bean spread more. Thanks for the great recommendation!
